And the 24-120 + 85 is cheaper the the 24-70 f/2.8. If I am right then the 14-30 f/4 as a second lens is also a good choice. A other choice is the 24-120 or the 24-200. For kits is the 24-120 slightly better, but for travel the 24-200. The 24-120 is a S lens and better weather resistant than the 24-200.
The Nikon NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/4 S zoom lens takes 72mm screw-in filters. With a maximum aperture of ƒ/4, it’s not the fastest lens around. Nikon’s staple 24-70mm lenses for DSLRs, for instance, open up to ƒ/2.8. But the Z7 and Z6’s low-light performances go some way to compensating for that.
For example, I understand the 14-30mm/f4 S and 24-70mm/f4 S are made in Thailand, and the F-mount 24-70mm/f2.8 E AF-S VR is made in Japan. However, the 35mm/f1.8 S is made in China. I am wondering whether the Chinese made lenses will be subjected to additional tariff when imported into the US in the future. My 24-70mm f/2.8 S is made in Japan
I also own the 14-24 f/2.8 S + 100-400 on order. If I keep the 24-70, I would have a gap from 70 to 100 which kind bothers me. I don't need the 2.8 but I feel like this is kind of a downgrade already owning the top standard lens available. What would you do? Reply to thread Reply with quote Complain. Forum.
